I barely finished high school because I was more interested in partying with my friends than doing the work. I left home because I couldn't get along with my parents - they just wanted me to grow up but I wasn't interested. I figured that everything would work out just fine, but I ended up working as a fast-food 'server', being paid starvation wages. No one else would even interview me. Rent took up most of my pay and there was little left over for eating, let alone partying. Life wasn't the dance-in-the-park I imagined and the future was looking like more of the same. Then I answered a questionaire like this one...

Check all that apply I wish I had the education to get a really good job. I don't have the money to pay for a college education. I'd like to get serious about improving my life, but don't know where to start. I don't think my marks or education where good enough to be accepted to college I need someone to show me how getting a college education is easier than I think.

I figured "What the heck? I have nothing to lose" and filled out the Everest College application for information and forgot about it. I was shocked back to reality when I got an email reply and a phone call from an Everest College representative the next day.
